Delta Construction in San Diego, CA | Mason Remodeling

We handle Chula Vista Delta service and fixture repair and installation all over San Diego, and we do it as an independent service provider – not a Delta authorized dealer. The quick answer: if your Delta shower valve is misbehaving or you want Delta trim and valves worked into a remodel, we diagnose it with genuine OEM parts and give you a written price before any tool comes out of the truck. Call (803) 680-2547 for a free estimate.

What makes our Delta work here different is that we know San Diego water. It’s hard, mineral-heavy, and relentless on pressure-balance cartridges. We’ve pulled enough scaled-up Delta Monitor valves out of Rancho Bernardo and La Jolla walls to know exactly what fails first, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a $60 cartridge kit fixes it or if you’re looking at a full valve replacement.

Why San Diego Residents Choose Us for Delta Service

A remodeled hall bathroom with patterned floor tile and painted walls

Isaac Pruett, our owner, has spent nearly two decades on Bathroom Remodeling - San Diego projects and kitchens across California, and he still checks the trim work on every project before he signs off. That’s the standard we hold Delta repairs and installs to as well. We use genuine OEM Delta parts – cartridges, seats, springs, O-rings, solenoids, and trim kits – because the pressure-balance and Diamond Seal geometry inside these fixtures is proprietary. Aftermarket copies fail early, and we’re not going to install a part we wouldn’t put in our own home.

We cover the full Delta sales & service range, from 1990s Monitor series valves still running in San Diego tract homes to current Touch2O and H2Okinetic lines. Every job gets a written price before work starts, and every completed project carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if something isn’t right within a year of completion, we make it right at no cost. You’ll also know exactly who’s coming – name, photo, and badge at the door, per The Threshold Standard.

Common Delta Construction Problems We Solve in San Diego

  • Monitor pressure-balance cartridge failure (RP19804/RP46074 style). San Diego’s hard water – roughly 12 to 20 grains per gallon depending on your supply – scales these cartridges until the balance spool seizes. You get sudden hot-to-cold swings or a scalding spike mid-shower. We replace the cartridge and seats, flush the valve body, and re-fit the original trim when it’s salvageable.
  • Touch2O solenoid and battery-pack failure. Your kitchen faucet taps on by itself or stops responding entirely. San Diego’s dry-season static and humidity swings are rough on these solenoids and their battery packs. The fix is usually a new solenoid and battery pack, not a whole new faucet.
  • Diamond Seal and ceramic-valve seat drips. Older Delta kitchen faucets start dripping at the spout after years of hard-water scale chewing at the seats and springs. A cartridge or seat-and-spring kit fixes it – you don’t need to replace a good faucet because of a $20 part.
  • Finish pitting and corrosion on coastal trim. Salt air in La Jolla, Pacific Beach, and Coronado eats chrome and stainless trim faster than inland neighborhoods. Once pitting reaches the valve body, you’re looking at a trim and cartridge replacement, not a polish job.
  • Valve body corrosion behind the wall. Hard water plus coastal humidity can rot a valve body from the inside over 20-plus years. When we open the wall during a remodel and see a corroded-through body, we’ll show it to you and explain whether a full valve replacement beats patching over a time bomb.

Delta Service in San Diego: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment

Here’s the San Diego fact that shapes Delta work here more than anything else: our municipal water is among the harder supplies in Southern California. Homes on city supplies and imported CWA water regularly test between 12 and 20 grains per gallon. That mineral load is why Delta pressure-balance cartridges scale and seize faster in San Diego than they do in softer-water markets like the Pacific Northwest. We’ve pulled Monitor 1700 series valves from 1990s tract homes off Sabre Springs Parkway in Rancho Bernardo where the RP46074 cartridge was so scaled the balance spool couldn’t travel at all. The homeowner had been living with hot-to-cold swings for months and had been quoted a full walk-in shower tear-out. We replaced the cartridge and seats, flushed the valve body, and re-fitted the original trim – total cost, a fraction of the $5,310 to $14,160 they’d been told elsewhere. That’s the difference between knowing Delta valves and knowing San Diego water.

Delta Models & Products We Service in San Diego

We work on the Delta lines most common in San Diego homes: Monitor 13, 14, and 17 series shower valves and trims (widespread in 1990s-2000s tract builds), Foundations and Classic single-handle kitchen and bath faucets, Touch2O and Touch2O.xt kitchen faucets with their solenoids and battery packs, and H2Okinetic and In2ition shower heads and hand showers. We stock common OEM cartridges, seats, and springs locally for fast San Diego turnaround, and we order trim kits in the exact finish your home has – chrome, stainless, bronze, whatever’s already on the wall. When a valve body is corroded through or you’re opening the wall for a remodel anyway, we’ll walk you through whether a full valve and trim replacement makes more sense than another cartridge swap.

Delta Service Pricing in San Diego

Service Price Range
Bathroom Remodel (Delta valve/trim integration) $10,620 – $33,040
Walk-In Shower Installation (Delta valve + trim) $5,310 – $14,160
Tub-to-Shower Conversion (Delta shower valve conversion) $4,130 – $11,800
Shower Replacement (Delta trim and valve) $3,540 – $10,030
Bathroom Vanity Installation (Delta faucet install) $945 – $3,540
Cabinet Installation (Delta kitchen faucet rough-in) $4,720 – $15,340

What drives the cost is how much wall access we need, whether the existing Delta valve body is still sound, and what finish and trim you’re matching. A simple cartridge replacement runs far below these ranges. A full shower tear-out with new valve rough-in runs at the top. Your free estimate includes the diagnosis, a written line-item quote, and a straight answer on repair versus replace. Call (803) 680-2547 to schedule yours.
