Training & Ongoing Support
You don’t need to know how to frame a wall or tile a shower to own a Mason Remodeling franchise. You need to know how to run a business that treats homeowners the way you’d want your own parents treated. We teach the rest. Since 2004, the Threshold Group has refined a training system that takes people from completely different careers and turns them into owners of remodeling companies that actually work. The 365-Day Done Right Promise and the Threshold Standard aren’t slogans we hand you on a poster. They’re operating systems, and we train you on every moving part before you ever take a call.
Initial Training

Your first weeks with us are structured around one goal: you should understand your business well enough to make confident decisions before the phone rings. We start with operations, which means learning how we scope jobs, write the written price that goes to every homeowner before work starts, and manage a project from first call to final walkthrough. You’ll learn the trade itself, not so you can swing a hammer, but so you can talk to a homeowner about their kitchen layout, spot a bad subfloor when a project manager flags it, and know when a bathroom remodel genuinely needs a plumbing rough-in versus a fixture swap.
Software training covers the systems our locations use to schedule, quote, track job progress, and document what the crew did each day. We walk you through hiring under the Threshold Standard: how to run background checks, verify identity, and build a crew that shows up in clean marked uniforms with photo ID badges. Marketing training is practical, not theoretical. You’ll learn what we know works in local home service lead generation, including how to present the brand so a homeowner who is nervous about letting strangers into the house sees exactly who is coming, by name and photo, before the visit.

Launch Support
Opening the doors is where a lot of franchise concepts go quiet. We stay close. Your launch team works with you on local marketing setup, which includes getting your service area dialed in, your local listings built correctly, and your first campaigns pointed at the homeowners who are actually looking for kitchen, bath, and whole-home remodeling in your market. We help you get the lead engine running, which means every lead that comes in gets handled according to a process we’ve built and tested. You don’t invent a sales script from scratch. You learn how to price a job in writing before any work starts, the way we do it everywhere.
First-jobs coaching is where the real learning happens. Your first projects come with a support line to people who have managed hundreds of remodels through Mason Remodeling and the Threshold Group. You’ll review scope with them, talk through pricing, and make sure the crew arrives on day one meeting the standard: background-checked, uniformed, photo ID badge shown at the door. If something goes sideways on an early job, you’re not solving it alone. The goal is a homeowner who writes a good review and tells a neighbor about the contractor who did exactly what they said they’d do.

AfterOngoing Support
Support here doesn’t expire after your first year. Here’s what you can count on as long as you own the business:
- Field coaching: regular check-ins on job quality, pricing discipline, and the systems that keep written guarantees meaningful.
- Marketing support: updated creative, local campaign guidance, and help adjusting your approach when a market shifts.
- Vendor relationships: specification-grade partnerships across KraftMaid and Wellborn cabinetry, Cambria and Silestone surfaces, Kohler and Moen fixtures, GAF and CertainTeed roofing, and Belgard and Unilock hardscaping, so you’re quoting professional products, not big-box closeouts.
- Technology: the software stack stays current, and we keep training your team as it evolves.
- National brand campaigns: Threshold Group runs brand-level marketing that builds awareness for the name in front of homeowners who haven’t picked a contractor yet.
- Peer network: other Mason Remodeling owners share what’s working, what’s not, and how they handle the weird jobs every remodeler eventually gets.
You’re Never Alone
The whole point of buying into a system is that you don’t have to figure everything out by yourself. Call (803) 680-2547 or request franchise information below. A real person answers.
