Caesarstone Bathroom Remodeling: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
Caesarstone bathroom remodeling in Los Angeles typically runs $10,620 to $33,040, depending on vanity size, countertop square footage, and whether you’re pulling a tub or rebuilding a wet wall. We stock a wide range of Caesarstone slabs locally and can usually start within a week of template and measure. Most owners discover they need this work when a Caesarstone countertop overhang develops a hairline crack near the sink cutout, or when water has worked its way behind an undermount seam and the caulk bead keeps letting go no matter how many times it’s reapplied.
In Los Angeles, we see two things accelerate Caesarstone failure more than anything else: hard water mineral buildup that etches the polished surface over time, and the slow shifting of older homes built on expansive soil, which torques vanity cabinets until the stone has nowhere left to flex. You can’t fix either with a tube of silicone. That’s where a real remodel comes in.
Before you call anyone, know this: we’re an independent contractor, not a Caesarstone factory service. But most bathroom failures tied to Caesarstone aren’t manufacturing defects. They’re installation or substrate failures. And those, we fix for good.
Which Caesarstone Models This Applies To

Caesarstone produces multiple collections, and Los Angeles bathroom remodels cross every line. The Classic and Supernatural series show up most often in vanities from the 2000s and 2010s. The Metropolitan and Whitelight collections run newer. We order from the full catalog, but the compatibility question that matters for bathroom work isn’t model-to-model. It’s thickness and overhang.
Caesarstone bathroom slabs come in 2cm and 3cm thicknesses. A 2cm slab needs plywood substrate under it or it will crack at the sink cutout within a few years. A 3cm slab can overhang up to 6 inches unsupported on a vanity, but push past that and you need corbels or steel brackets. If your existing Caesarstone was installed without that support, the counter wasn’t the problem. The cabinet structure was.
One more Los Angeles-specific gotcha: if your home was built before 1990, the vanity cabinets were often built on the floor with shimmed legs. Those shims rot or compress. We level and reinforce before the new stone touches the cabinet, or you’ll be replacing Caesarstone again in five years.

Signs Your Caesarstone Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing
- Hairline cracks radiating from the sink cutout. This is the classic sign of an unsupported 2cm slab or a cabinet that’s sagging under the weight. The stone didn’t fail. The structure under it did. If you only replace the Caesarstone, the crack comes back.
- Persistent dark staining around the faucet base. Caesarstone is non-porous, but the undermount seam and faucet penetrations are sealed with caulk. When that caulk fails, water wicks into the cabinet below. You’ll see swollen cabinet doors or rust on the hinges before you see the leak itself.
- Visible yellowing or clouding in patches. Some older Caesarstone colors, especially whites, are photosensitive. Years of Los Angeles sun through a bathroom window can cause uneven color shift. This isn’t repairable. It’s a replacement.
- The stone has separated from the cabinet on one side. On vanity installations where the cabinet was out of level, the adhesive bond under the stone eventually shears. You’ll feel a subtle rock or hear a hollow tap on one end. That void gets worse with every sink use.
- Sink bowl shifted or dropped slightly. If the undermount sink has dropped even a quarter inch, the silicone seal is compromised. Water is running inside the vanity. In a Los Angeles home with clay soil, we see this most often after a wet winter, when slab movement works through the framing.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For a full Caesarstone bathroom remodel in Los Angeles, plan on $10,620 to $33,040. That range covers the typical spread from a small guest bath with a new single-sink vanity and Caesarstone top, up to a primary bath with dual vanities, a walk-in shower, and full wet-wall rebuild. A vanity-only swap with Caesarstone runs narrower, but most people don’t just change the top. They fix the cabinet under it while the stone is off.
Here’s how the cost typically breaks down:
- Caesarstone slab and fabrication: $1,800 to $5,200 depending on color and square footage
- Vanity cabinetry replacement or reinforcement: $1,200 to $4,800
- Plumbing disconnect and reconnect: $450 to $1,400
- Demolition and disposal of old stone and cabinet: $700 to $1,900
- Wet wall or shower work if included: $3,500 to $14,000
- Permits and inspection when structural work applies: $400 to $1,800
Every price is in writing before we start, no surprises on the final invoice. The workmanship carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not right within a year of completion, we make it right at no cost to you.
DIY or Call Us?
Caesarstone is heavy. A 3cm slab for a 60-inch vanity weighs over 250 pounds. Lifting and setting it without damage takes two people, proper suction cups, and a level cabinet underneath. That’s not a weekend project.
What an owner can safely do: check the caulk bead around the sink, check cabinet level with a 4-foot level, and look inside the vanity for water staining. Anything beyond that needs a crew. We’ve pulled more than a few slabs that split in half because a homeowner tried to flip them over for a repair and dropped a corner. A cracked Caesarstone top can’t be repaired invisibly. It replaces.

FAQs

A properly installed Caesarstone vanity top in a Los Angeles home should last 20 to 25 years before visible wear, fading, or seam failure sets in. The countertop itself rarely fails. What fails first is the substrate under it or the caulk around the sink. Call (803) 680-2547 if you suspect an installation problem.
No. Caesarstone cracks cannot be repaired invisibly, and any repair adds pigment that will show. The stone must be replaced. If the crack came from a sagging cabinet, the cabinet needs work before the new slab goes on. Call us for a free estimate and we’ll tell you the honest fix.
Most vanity-level Caesarstone replacements take 3 to 5 working days from demo to final caulk, assuming the slab is in local stock. Full primary bath remodels with shower work run 3 to 6 weeks. We give you a written schedule with the written price, and we stick to it.
We order through Caesarstone’s Los Angeles area distribution and keep common white and gray tones on hand for rush jobs. Exotic colors take 7 to 10 days for fabrication. We place the order only after you approve the written price. Call (803) 680-2547 to check availability for your color.
