Tremron Fence Installation: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
Tremron fence installation in Los Angeles typically runs $4,130 to $10,620 for a full replacement using Tremron-compatible concrete fence panels and posts. We stock the common Tremron sizes on our trucks and can usually schedule installation within a week of the estimate. Most Los Angeles homeowners discover they need this work after a panel cracks at the base or a post starts leaning in the wet winter soil we get in neighborhoods like Van Nuys and West Hills.
Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron manufactures precast concrete fence panels in several product lines, and the compatibility details matter more than most people expect. The two series we see most often in Los Angeles are the standard Tremron privacy fence panels (typically 6 feet tall, 6 feet wide, and 2 inches thick) and the decorative screen block versions that use a slotted or patterned face. The gotcha: Tremron posts are not universal across all panel series, so a panel from one line will not always seat correctly in a post from another. We check the stamped code on the inside edge of the existing panel or the post base before ordering anything.
You can identify your panel by measuring the tongue-and-groove edge profile. Tremron uses a specific groove depth that differs from other precast manufacturers like Belgard or Techo-Bloc. If the groove is 1.5 inches deep, you’re working with Tremron’s standard profile. If it’s shallower, you may have a different brand entirely, which changes the parts list. We also keep quality aftermarket equivalents on hand for discontinued Tremron styles, and we’ll tell you honestly whether OEM or aftermarket makes sense for your situation. OEM panels are the safe choice when you’re matching existing panels. Aftermarket can save 15 to 20 percent when you’re replacing a full run.

Signs Your Tremron Fence Installation Is Failing
- Leaning posts with no visible impact damage. Los Angeles has expansive clay soil, and the freeze-thaw cycle isn’t the issue here like it is back east. The problem is clay that shrinks in summer and swells in winter, which slowly moves concrete posts out of plumb. If the lean is more than a few degrees, the post base is compromised.
- Cracks radiating from the bottom corners of a panel. This is usually a drainage problem. When water pools at the base of a Tremron panel and saturates the concrete, the weight of the panel above it creates stress fractures. We see this constantly in Sherman Oaks and Studio City where hillside runoff collects at fence lines.
- White chalky residue on the panel face. That’s efflorescence. It’s not structural by itself, but it tells us moisture is moving through the panel, which means the concrete is absorbing water it shouldn’t. Over time in Los Angeles sun, that trapped moisture expands and contracts and the panel spalls.
- Panels rattling in high wind. Tremron panels should sit tight in their posts. If you hear them clacking during Santa Ana winds, the joint material has degraded or the post spacing has widened. Left alone, the panels start chipping at the edges.
- Hairline cracks running diagonally across the face. This is shear stress, often from a post that settled unevenly or from minor seismic activity. Los Angeles gets enough small quakes that precast panels with no room to flex will crack along their weakest line.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

Here’s what a Tremron fence installation costs in Los Angeles, broken down by scope:
- Single panel replacement (material matched to existing): $470 – $825 installed
- Single post replacement with reset and new concrete: $650 – $1,180 installed

What moves the price in Los Angeles: access to the fence line, whether we’re hauling old panels down a hillside, how much demolition is involved, and whether your city’s local code requires a permit for fence work over 6 feet. Parts and labor are separated on our written estimates, so you see exactly what the Tremron-compatible materials cost and what our installation labor costs. No change orders. The work is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise, which means if anything fails within a year of completion, we return and fix it at no cost.
DIY or Call Us?
Tremron panels are heavy. A standard 6-by-6 panel weighs between 180 and 240 pounds depending on thickness, and moving one without the right equipment is a good way to hurt yourself or crack the new panel before it’s even set. What you can safely do: inspect the panels, note which ones have visible cracking, check whether posts are leaning, and take photos of the stamped codes so we can identify the series before the visit.
What you should not do: try to pull a leaning post out of the ground by hand, attempt to lift a panel off its post with a floor jack, or pour new concrete around an old post without removing the rotted base. We’ve rebuilt fences in Los Angeles where a homeowner’s DIY repair lasted six months because the footing was never addressed. If you’re not sure whether your fence issue is urgent, call us at (803) 680-2547 and describe what you’re seeing. We’ll tell you straight if it’s something to handle now or something that can wait.
FAQs

In the Los Angeles climate, a properly installed Tremron fence with good drainage lasts 25 to 35 years. Panels themselves rarely wear out; it’s the posts and footings that fail first, usually within 15 to 20 years if the original installation skimped on concrete depth. Call (803) 680-2547 and we can tell you whether your fence is at that threshold.
For hairline cracks under 1/8 inch wide, a structural epoxy injection can stabilize the panel and buy you several more years. For anything wider, or any crack that runs edge to edge, replacement is the only fix that holds. We’ll give you the honest answer on site, and the estimate is free either way.
Most full fence replacements take 2 to 3 working days. Single panel or post replacements are usually done in half a day. Demolition and debris hauling are included in our written price.
We keep the most common Tremron-compatible panel sizes and post profiles stocked at our Los Angeles yard, and we also work with KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone for other material needs. If your panel is a discontinued series or an unusual height, we can source the equivalent from our supplier network, typically within a week. Call (803) 680-2547 with the stamp code from your existing panel and we’ll confirm availability before you commit to anything.
