Grohe Kitchen Remodeling: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
Grohe kitchen remodeling in Los Angeles typically runs $16,520 to $53,100 for a full kitchen with Grohe fixtures, and we stock and install Grohe-compatible parts across the city, from Sylmar to San Pedro. Most owners discover they need us when a Grohe pull-down faucet starts dripping at the spray head, a cartridge seizes after years of hard water, or a cabinet plan built around a Grohe sink reveals a corner that doesn’t square. If you’re holding a Grohe part number and wondering whether the job is a $300 fix or a $30,000 rebuild, this page gives you the real numbers before you call.
Isaac Pruett grew up in the Sylmar end of the San Fernando Valley, and he’s spent nearly two decades remodeling kitchens across Los Angeles. He’ll tell you the same thing on a walkthrough he’d tell you on the phone: Grohe makes precise hardware, and precise hardware doesn’t forgive sloppy installation. That’s where we come in.
Which Grohe Models This Applies To

We work on the full Grohe kitchen lineup you’ll find in Los Angeles homes: the Eurosmart, Concetto, Essence, Minta, and Zedra series for faucets, plus Grohe sink and soap dispenser combinations. Each series uses different cartridge dimensions and spray head threading, and this is where we see the most homeowner mistakes. A Concetto cartridge will not seat in a Zedra body, and forcing it scores the brass. That’s a $40 mistake that becomes a $400 faucet replacement.
To identify your Grohe part, look under the faucet body for the model number stamped into the brass, usually a six-digit code starting with 30 or 32. On pull-down faucets, the weight under the sink also carries a printed part number. Grohe OEM parts ship from Germany so lead times in Los Angeles run one to three weeks depending on the distributor, which is why we keep common cartridges, spray heads, and mounting hardware on the truck. For noncritical components, quality aftermarket equivalents from Danco or Pfister-compatible lines work well, but we won’t hide that from you: we quote both, tell you the tradeoff, and let you choose.
One more Grohe-specific gotcha: California’s low-flow regulations mean some Grohe models sold elsewhere ship with different aerators and flow restrictors here. If you buy a part online from an out-of-state seller, it may not meet Los Angeles code. We’ve had to redo that exact swap more than once.
Styles & brands we work with

Signs Your Grohe Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Drip at the spray head when the faucet is off. This is almost always a worn cartridge seal or debris in the diverter. Los Angeles hard water accelerates both, and a drip that starts slow will become a steady stream within months.
- Low water pressure at the spray head but normal flow at the spout. That’s a clogged aerator or a kinked weight hose under the sink. Easy fix, but only if the hose is rerouted correctly or it will kink again in six months.
- Handle movement that feels gritty or hard to turn. Mineral buildup inside the cartridge body. Ignoring it means the handle mechanism eventually breaks, and on some Grohe models that means replacing the entire faucet, not just the cartridge.
- Water seeping around the base of the faucet onto the countertop. The O-rings under the deck plate have flattened. This one is urgent because water that pools around the base eventually finds its way into the cabinet, and then into the subfloor.
- The pull-down retraction is weak or the spray head hangs loose. The weight on the hose has slipped out of position or the retraction spring has stretched. Annoying at first, but the dangling spray head is a sign the hose is wearing against the cabinet interior.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

- Smaller associated work: cabinet installation runs $4,720 – $15,340, countertops $2,360 – $7,670, and backsplash $945 – $2,950 when you’re already in the middle of a Grohe kitchen refresh.
Every quote we write includes parts, labor, and cleanup, and we hand you the written price before any work starts. That’s not a promotion. It’s how Mason Remodeling has operated since 2004 as part of the Threshold Group family of home-service companies. If the work isn’t right within 365 days of completion, we come back and make it right at no cost to you. That’s the 365-Day Done Right Promise, and it applies to a $160 cartridge job the same as a $50,000 kitchen gut.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely check a few things before you pick up the phone: confirm your Grohe model number under the faucet body, run the water through both spout and spray head to isolate the problem, and inspect under the sink for drips or a slipped weight. Those three observations alone will save you a service-call fee if the fix really is a loose connection.
What we don’t recommend is pulling a Grohe cartridge without the right puller tool or forcing a stuck retaining nut. Grohe brass is soft, and one slip with a pipe wrench on the body threads turns a quick cartridge job into a full faucet replacement. If you’re not sure, call (803) 680-2547 and describe what you’re seeing. You’ll get a real person, not a phone tree, and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s worth a service call or whether you can handle it yourself.
FAQs

In Los Angeles, a Grohe kitchen faucet lasts 12 to 18 years with regular use, though hard water in neighborhoods like Northridge and Granada Hills can shorten cartridge life to 8 to 10 years if the faucet isn’t flushed when the aerator is cleaned. The fixtures themselves are durable; it’s the mineral buildup that gets to them first.
Sometimes, when the issue is just a flattened O-ring or a clogged inlet screen, but a worn cartridge body or a hairline crack in the ceramic disc means replacement, not repair. We’ll show you the failed part when we pull it so you can see exactly what happened, and we quote the repair price before we start.
A standard Grohe faucet swap takes 45 minutes to two hours, depending on access under the sink and the condition of the existing shutoff valves. If we’re doing a full kitchen remodel with Grohe fixtures, that’s a multi-week project with a schedule laid out in writing before the first day.
We carry common Grohe cartridges, spray heads, O-ring kits, and mounting hardware for the Eurosmart, Concetto, and Essence series on the truck. For less common parts, we order from Los Angeles Grohe distributors and you’ll know the lead time before we schedule the visit. We also stock parts for KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone work if your kitchen remodel combines those brands.
