Delta Kitchen Remodeling: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
If you have a Delta kitchen fixture or component that’s failing, a full kitchen remodeling in Los Angeles typically runs $16,520 to $53,100, with most mid-range Delta-compatible remodels landing between $24,000 and $38,000 installed. That’s the honest range we quote in this market, and it includes the parts, labor, permits, and a written price before the first tool leaves the truck. Most homeowners discover the problem the same way: a Delta faucet that drips after two years of hard water, a pull-down spray head that lost pressure, or cabinet hardware that no longer aligns after the house settled. The question isn’t whether to fix it. The question is whether the fix means swapping one part or rebuilding the entire kitchen around it.
We’re an independent remodeling contractor in Los Angeles, not affiliated with Delta Faucet Company. We stock Delta-compatible parts on the truck and install them every week. But sometimes the failing part is the nudge you needed to stop patching a kitchen that stopped working years ago. That’s what this page is for: the part, the price, and the decision.
Which Delta Models This Applies To

Delta’s kitchen lineup splits into three main families, and the compatibility rules are strict. The Leland and Trinsic series use ceramic disc cartridges, which are interchangeable only within their own series. A Leland cartridge won’t seat properly in a Trinsic body, no matter how close they look. The Cassidy and Addison lines are the other common ones we see in Los Angeles homes, and both use a different spring-and-seal cartridge that’s shared across their models. The easiest way to identify what you have: pull the handle and read the two-letter date code stamped on the faucet body. Delta prints it on a small tag under the sink or on the escutcheon ring. It tells you the exact series and year.
When it comes to OEM versus aftermarket, our position is simple. For anything inside the faucet body (cartridges, seals, O-rings), we use genuine Delta parts. Aftermarket equivalents fail early under Los Angeles water pressure, which runs higher in the Valley than in coastal neighborhoods. For external hardware (pull-down spray heads, mounting brackets, trim kits), quality aftermarket works fine and saves real money. We stock genuine Delta cartridges on the truck for Leland, Trinsic, Addison, and Cassidy, plus spray heads and diverter assemblies. A spec-grade Delta kitchen faucet in this market should cost between $200 and $600 for the fixture itself when we purchase it, and that’s the part of the bill we show you line-item by line-item.

Signs Your Delta Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- The faucet drips even with the handle fully off. This is almost always a worn ceramic disc cartridge. Los Angeles hard water (we see 7 to 12 grains per gallon depending on the water district) accelerates mineral buildup. The fix is a cartridge swap, about 45 minutes of labor. But if you’ve replaced the cartridge twice in three years, the faucet body itself is scored, and we recommend replacing the fixture instead of the part.
- Water pressure drops at the spray head while the main spout runs fine. The diverter assembly has a cracked seal. Delta diverters are plastic and thermal-shock sensitive, meaning years of hot-cold-hot cycles in a Los Angeles kitchen eventually split them. The part is $30 to $60. The labor to access it varies by model.
- The pull-down hose won’t retract or hangs loose. The weight under the sink slipped, or the hose coupling is binding. Sometimes it’s just adjustment. Other times the hose has degraded from heat exposure under a California kitchen sink where the dishwasher vents against it.
- Cabinet doors drift shut or won’t close flush. Soft-close hinges, especially on older Delta-compatible cabinetry lines, lose tension over time. The hinges aren’t always the problem. In Los Angeles, homes built between 1990 and 2010 have settling issues that shift cabinet frames, and the fix is frame adjustment, not new hardware.
- The finish is pitting or flaking on the faucet body. Delta finishes like Arctic Stainless and Champagne Bronze hold up well in most climates, but not against years of Los Angeles chloramine-treated municipal water sitting at the spout base. Once pitting starts, cleaning compounds make it worse. No cartridge fixes this. The fixture is done.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For a parts-only Delta repair on an existing kitchen fixture, Los Angeles homeowners should expect $180 to $450 installed, depending on the cartridge, spray assembly, or diverter required. That includes the trip, the genuine Delta part, labor, and testing. We write that price before we open the wall or pull the fixture.
If the failing part is the reason you’re finally addressing the whole kitchen, the installed remodel range is $16,520 to $53,100. Where you land depends on scope:
- Cabinet installation: $4,720 to $15,340
- Countertop installation: $2,360 to $7,670
- Backsplash installation: $945 to $2,950
- Kitchen island installation: $3,540 to $11,800
- Small kitchen remodel: $10,620 to $23,600
Every line is written out before work starts. You get the brand, model number, and price of every fixture and material. If we install a Delta faucet and it fails within 365 days, we’re back at no cost under our Done Right Promise. No dispute process, no argument about whose fault it is. That’s the whole point of putting it in writing.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely check a few things before calling. Look under the sink for a visible leak source. Confirm whether the spray head, the main spout, or both have lost pressure. Check if the handle turns smoothly or feels gritty. These take five minutes and they help us quote the right repair before we arrive. But don’t attempt a cartridge pull on a Delta fixture without the matching series tool. Breaking a Leland cartridge inside the body turns a 45-minute service call into a faucet replacement. We’ve seen it twice this year in Los Angeles kitchens. The plastic retaining ring strips, the tool slips, and now you’re buying a new fixture anyway.
If the part failure is one more symptom of a kitchen that doesn’t work the way you live anymore, let’s price the remodel honestly. Call (803) 680-2547 and we’ll put numbers on the table. Know who’s coming, know what it costs, know it’s backed up – everything else is just noise.
FAQs

A genuine Delta kitchen faucet in Los Angeles water conditions lasts 8 to 12 years on the original cartridge if the home gets routine maintenance, with hard water districts on the shorter end and filtered systems stretching toward the longer end. Call (803) 680-2547 if yours is showing early wear, and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s a part or a replacement.
Cartridges, seals, spray heads, and diverters can all be repaired or replaced, but the decision matters: if your Delta fixture has already had two cartridge replacements, the faucet body is done, and repair money is wasted. A technician from Mason Remodeling can assess it in under an hour. Call (803) 680-2547 to schedule.
Most Delta cartridge, spray head, or diverter replacements take 45 to 90 minutes once the technician is at your Los Angeles home, and we stock the common parts on the truck so there’s no second trip while you wait without a working kitchen sink. Call (803) 680-2547 for a same-week appointment.
Yes, we carry genuine Delta cartridges for the Leland, Trinsic, Addison, and Cassidy series, plus spray head assemblies and diverter parts, because those four lines cover most kitchens we see across Los Angeles. If your fixture needs a part outside those lines, we can order it and have it installed within days. Call (803) 680-2547 and we’ll check the truck before you schedule.
