Why Los Angeles Homeowners Choose Toto Construction

We’re an independent Toto repair in Los Angeles provider, not affiliated with Toto, and we specialize in integrating Toto’s high-efficiency toilets, Washlet bidet seats, and touchless faucets into remodels across the city. Our crews have handled hundreds of Toto installations, from historic bungalows in Angelino Heights to high-rises in Downtown, and we know the local plumbing and electrical quirks that affect how these fixtures perform. If you need Toto work done right in Los Angeles, call (803) 680-2547 for a free estimate.

Toto makes some of the most water-efficient fixtures on the market. The Aquia IV, the Washlet, the Neorest, the EcoPower faucets. They’re well engineered, but they have real failure points when installed in older Los Angeles homes, and that’s where our experience matters. As independent service providers, we work on Toto products every week, and we know exactly what goes wrong and how to fix it without voiding your warranty.

Why Trust Mason Remodeling for Your Toto Construction?

A low-threshold walk-in shower with a bench and grab bar

Isaac Pruett, our owner, grew up in the Sylmar end of the San Fernando Valley, where half the neighborhood spent weekends fixing what the last guy did wrong. After high school he went through the construction technology program at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College, learning framing, finish work, and how to read a set of plans without guessing. His dad was a finish carpenter, so trim work still gets checked before anything gets called finished. That same standard applies to Toto installations. When we mount a Washlet seat or rough in a Neorest, the details get checked twice.

We stock OEM Toto parts for the components that matter: flush valves, electronic control boards, fill valves, and sensor assemblies. For non-proprietary items like supply lines and mounting hardware, we use high-quality aftermarket parts that meet or exceed manufacturer specs. This keeps costs reasonable without cutting corners on the parts that determine whether your Toto fixture still works five years from now. Every crew member is background-checked, identity-verified, and arrives in a clean marked uniform with a photo ID badge. You’ll know the technician’s name and see their photo before they reach your door. We call that The Threshold Standard, and it applies to every Toto job we take in Los Angeles.

Common Toto Construction Problems We Fix in Los Angeles

We see the same handful of Toto issues repeat across Los Angeles neighborhoods. Here are the five most common problems homeowners call us about.

  • Washlet electronic control board failure. Older homes in Los Angeles, especially those around Koreatown, Echo Park, and Silver Lake, often still have knob-and-tube or ungrounded wiring. Power surges from the city’s aging grid can fry a Washlet control board in seconds. We replace the board with OEM parts and recommend a dedicated GFCI circuit to protect the new one.
  • Aquia IV dual-flush valve leaking. The Los Angeles basin has some of the hardest municipal water in the state. Mineral buildup collects on the Aquia IV’s dual-flush seal, which leads to a slow, constant leak into the bowl. We can usually rebuild the flush tower with OEM seals, but in some cases a full valve replacement is cheaper in the long run.
  • Neorest sensor malfunction in humid bathrooms. Los Angeles homes built before the 1950s often lack proper bathroom ventilation. The Neorest’s integrated sensors get confused by prolonged humidity, causing random flushes or failure to flush at all. We inspect the ventilation, clean and recalibrate the sensors, and if needed, install a humidity-sensing exhaust fan to correct the underlying problem.
  • EcoPower faucet sensor failure after municipal main breaks. When the DWP repairs a main break in Los Angeles, fine sediment pushes through the supply lines. That debris clogs the EcoPower sensor’s internal filter and blinds the infrared eye. We flush the line, replace the filter screen, and the faucet usually works like new without replacing the whole unit.
  • Neorest rough-in compatibility issues. The Neorest requires a 12-inch rough-in and a dedicated 15-amp circuit. In older Los Angeles bathrooms, the rough-in is often 10 or 14 inches, and there’s no nearby outlet. We handle this before tile goes up, which saves thousands compared to fixing it after installation.

Toto Parts & Our Repair-vs-Replace Approach

A powder room with botanical wallpaper and a stone sink

We use OEM Toto parts for anything that touches water flow or electronics. Flush valves, solenoid-controlled fill valves, control boards, sensor assemblies, and Washlet wands. These parts are built to Toto’s tolerances, and using anything else usually creates a new problem within a year. For supply lines, angle stops, and wax rings, we use quality aftermarket parts that meet or exceed OEM specs. Same function, less money.

When a Toto fixture fails, we give you an honest read on whether repair makes sense. An Aquia IV with a leaky flush tower is almost always worth repairing. A 15-year-old Washlet with a dead control board and a worn wand motor is usually not. Parts for discontinued Toto models get scarce, and we’d rather tell you the truth than patch something that’ll fail again in six months. If you’re weighing repair against replacement for any Toto fixture in Los Angeles, call (803) 680-2547 and we’ll walk you through the numbers.

Our Toto Service Process – Step by Step

  1. 1
Diagnosis. We start with the symptom, not the fixture. We trace the actual cause before touching anything else. For a Washlet that won’t heat water, we test the control board output, the heater element, and the GFCI circuit. No guessing, no parts roulette.
  2. 2
Repair or install. We lay down floor protection, make the repair or perform the installation using OEM Toto parts for critical components, and photograph the completed work for our records and yours. Rough-in is checked twice on Neorest and Aquia installs before the bowl is set.
  3. 3
Test cycle. Every Toto toilet gets at least five full flush cycles, including the dual-flush half and full settings. Every Washlet gets tested for seat heat, water heat, pressure, and oscillation. Every EcoPower faucet gets tested for sensor response from multiple angles.
  4. 4
Warranty. Every Toto repair and installation is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise. If something isn’t right within a year of completion, we come back and make it right at no cost to you. No dispute process, no conditions.

Toto Products We Service & Install in Los Angeles

We work on the full range of Toto residential fixtures in Los Angeles: the Aquia IV and Aquia dual-flush toilets, the entire Washlet line including the C2, C5, and S7A models, the Neorest integrated toilet series (including the Neorest AC, which we recently installed in a 1920s Spanish bungalow in Koreatown), and the EcoPower self-generating touchless faucets. We also offer Anaheim Toto service for customers outside the city. We keep common OEM parts in local stock for faster turnaround, and we can order anything else directly from Toto’s parts network. Bathroom remodels, tile, and vanities are all in our wheelhouse, so we can handle the fixture and everything around it.

We Also Service These Brands

Toto is a big part of our work, but we also install and service KraftMaid cabinetry, Cambria and Silestone countertops, and Kohler fixtures. Most Los Angeles remodels mix brands, and we’re set up to handle all of them without making you coordinate multiple contractors.
